At first glance, the Taïga Pro 2025 commands respect. Its impressive size hints at a solid and durable design. Weighing in at 80 kg and with a load capacity of up to 300 kg, this tent is clearly in a league of its own. The external dimensions are 215 x 145 x 22 cm, and the sleeping area offers a generous 130 x 200 cm of space.
Every detail seems to have been carefully considered: meticulous finishes, high-quality materials, sleek and functional design. This tent inspires confidence.
We had the chance to test the tent in the rain. The verdict? The flysheet does its job perfectly. In light rain, it protects the entrance sufficiently to prevent the interior from getting wet. The result: no need to rush to close everything up. This is a significant comfort when camping often in wet conditions.
Comfort is a major criterion, and here, it is guaranteed. The 8 cm thick memory foam mattress offers excellent support and a real cocoon for the night.
This is clearly a major selling point.
But why is the 2025 version 9 cm thicker than its predecessor? This choice, which goes against the ultra-compact trend, is a direct response to feedback from their user community. Thanks to this new design, you can now leave your duvet, pillows, and even thermal insulation (available as an option) inside the tent once it is closed. This saves time and is undeniably practical, especially when it's raining or you arrive late at your destination.
Let's be honest, our city car wasn't the ideal vehicle to support the Taïga Pro 2025. Its weight and dimensions make it a model that is more suited to vehicles such as SUVs, vans, and leisure activity vehicles.
So, we are calling on car manufacturers: including one of your models in our upcoming tests will guarantee you prime visibility. The vehicle will play a central role in the test, visible at every stage and highlighted in our content.
An opportunity not to be missed!
For our very first test, the Taïga Pro 2025 proved convincing. Robust, comfortable, practical, and designed for the everyday life of adventurers, it ticks many boxes. It is aimed at those who do not want to compromise between strength and comfort.
A big thank you to SwissKings – Accessoires4x4.ch for providing this roof tent. We hope that other roof tent manufacturers will join the adventure so that we can introduce you to even more roof tents in our Gazette des Perchés!
