Outdoor Auto Show: The Adventure Begins with Your Everyday Car
From September 11 to 13, 2026, at Lac de Madine, the RTT Festival takes a new step forward with a dedicated section for its trade show: the Outdoor Automotive Show.
Why this choice? Simply because habits are changing.
For several years now, we have observed a gradual shift among our festivalgoers, visitors, and outdoor enthusiasts.
The everyday car is no longer just a means of getting around. It is gradually becoming a simple and direct way to enjoy outdoor activities, spontaneous weekend getaways, and local adventures.
Adventures don't necessarily start with a large camper van anymore. Sometimes they start simply with your own car.
These days, you no longer need a specially modified vehicle to set off.
Many people simply use their family car, station wagon, SUV, or everyday vehicle as a starting point for a getaway.
A rooftop tent, a sleep-in-car kit, some camping gear, or removable accessories are sometimes all it takes to open up new possibilities.
A simpler, more flexible, and more accessible experience
Beyond the equipment, we also see a desire for simplicity.
Many people want to keep traveling, go on weekend getaways, or enjoy time outdoors in a more relaxed, flexible, and spontaneous way.
The idea isn't necessarily to completely overhaul a vehicle or to change one's lifestyle.
The goal is often simpler: to use what we already have to create new experiences.
This approach allows for:
- Less heavy processing
- Fewer restrictions
- More spontaneity
- A more versatile car
- Easier access to adventure
The Outdoor Automotive Show: Discover the solutions designed for these new applications
Roof tents, sleep-in-car kits, camping gear, camping accessories, outdoor equipment, and removable accessories: the Outdoor Automobile Show will bring together the brands and professionals driving this new way of experiencing outdoor recreation and micro-adventures.
Across more than 30 hectares of open-air space, visitors and industry professionals will be able to explore practical, accessible solutions designed to easily transform an everyday car into a fully-fledged base camp.
Outdoor Automobile: A Different Approach
Outdoor Automobile is not the same as van life.
Van life is often described as a lifestyle.
Outdoor Automobile focuses primarily on the use of light vehicles: everyday cars.
The idea is no longer to live in your vehicle. The idea is to use it to live outdoors.
In this approach, the vehicle is not conceived as a permanent living space but as a means of mobility, an experience, and a gateway to outdoor recreation.
